You will need to get the Invite code by Scanning the QR invite code or clicking on the GET MOBY button to fill the form and will be added to the waitlist. Post receiving the Invite code via email, you can create your Moby account either by using your email address or by registering directly through the platform. You will need the Invite code to be able to create an account.

During the setup process, you may be prompted to grant the required browser permissions for optimal functionality. For easier access and a better user experience, we also recommend bookmarking the website in your browser. Once account is created you can start to use the mobychat browser platform beta version on your browser.

To request access to the MobyChat browser beta, you can scan the official QR code available on the Mobynet website or through MobyNet’s official social media channels.

Once the QR code is scanned, you will be directed to an onboarding form where you will need to:

• Enter the required details

• Select the appropriate options from the dropdown menus

• Submit the completed registration form

After submission, your request will be added to the MobyChat beta waitlist.

When your access request is approved and your position on the waitlist is reached, an invite code will be sent to your registered email address, allowing you to create and access your MobyChat account.

To create a new account on the Mobychat beta browser, you will need a valid invite code. Scan teh QR code on mobychat.io to get a invite code to access the mobychat browser beta. Once you receive the Invite code follow the below steps to create a new account.

Visit moby.chat and follow one of the two account creation methods below:

Option 1: Create an Account Using Email Login

1. Enter your invite code.

2. Sign up using your email account (Google, Outlook, Yahoo, or other supported providers).

3. Proceed to the next screen to continue the setup process.

Option 2: Create an Account Manually

1. Enter your invite code.

2. Select the Manual Registration option.

3. Fill in the required details:

   • Full Name

   • Email Address

   • Password

   • App Password

4. Click Create Account and continue with the setup process.

Account Setup & Permissions

After registration, you will be guided through the following setup steps:

Accept Terms & Privacy Policy

• Review the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy displayed on screen.

• Once reviewed, select the checkbox to confirm acceptance.

Grant Required Permissions

To ensure full platform functionality, MobyChat will request access to:

• Microphone

• Camera

• Notifications

• Persistent Storage

For persistent storage access, you may be required to create a browser bookmark as part of the permission process.

Once all permissions are granted, click the CONTINUE button to finalize your account setup.

You can now start using MobyChat to securely chat with contacts and transfer large files seamlessly.

To send large files through MobyNet, you must first add the recipient as a contact and initiate a chat conversation.

Follow these steps:

1. Add the recipient to your contact list.

2. Open the chat window with the selected contact.

3. In the lower-left corner of the chat window, you will find:

   • Upload File icon

   • Upload Directory icon

4. Click the appropriate option and select the file or folder from your system.

5. Click Open to attach the selected content.

Once the recipient accepts and starts the transfer, the file transfer process will begin automatically.

MobyNet is designed to support secure and efficient large file sharing directly through the platform.

Normally when you stop an upload or a download from the cloud you must start over from the beginning if the process gets interrupted for any reason. With Moby, transfers pick up where they left off when interrupted by noisy Internet dropouts, or when you have to go and close your laptop, or shut off your cell phone.

To start a new chat on MobyChat browser:

1. Add the user as a contact.

2. Click the Contacts icon from the left sidebar.

3. Select the desired contact from your contact list to start a conversation.

4. Click the Message icon below the contact name to open the chat window and begin messaging.

5. Now you can chat and share file with the contact.

To add a new contact in MobyChat browser:

1. Navigate to the Contacts section from the left sidebar.

2. Click on Add Contact.
   

You can add contacts in two ways:

Invite via Email

• Enter the recipient’s email address.

• Add an optional message to accompany the invitation.

• Send the invitation email directly from the platform.

Invite via Contact Code

• Obtain the recipient’s unique contact code.

• Paste the code into the provided field.

• Click Invite to send the contact request.

You can also share your own contact code with others so they can add you directly to their contact list.

For the MobyChat Beta version using the browser, there is a 30 GB file limit for an optimized file transfer experience on the browser.

Before sending email invitations, you must first add and verify your email address in the Email section within MobyChat settings.

To send an email invite:

1. Go to the Add Contact section in the left nav bar.

2. Enter the recipient’s email address in the invitation field.

3. Optionally include a personalized message.

4. Click Send Invite to email the invitation to the recipient.

The recipient will receive an email invitation with instructions to connect on MobyNet.
